TREASURES OF THE HEART - Matthew 6:19-24

Matthew 6:21, 24  Your heart is on whatever you treasure.  You cannot serve both God and money.

What Does it Mean?  How we spend our time is a good indication of where our treasure is.  Time can only be spent once.  Look back at your calendar over the past month, do you wish you had spent your time differently?  How we spend our money is another good way to see what our priorities are.  Matthew 6:33 says that our first priority is to advance the kingdom of God in our lives and the world around us.  Take a few minutes and think about where you are spending your resources: time, money, energy.  Talk to God about what you see and what changes you need to make.
