THE WOMAN IN THE MIRROR - Matthew 7:24-29

What Does it Say?  v26  Anyone who hears what the Bible says and ignores it, is foolish.

What Does it Mean?  Christians who talk about the Bible and what it means, but don't put it into practice in their daily lives are like a woman who looked at herself in the mirror when she got up, but then went off to work without getting ready.  God's word is meant to change who we are, to give us strength to stand against temptation, to respond to conflict in a way that honors God and builds up other believers.  God’s word gives us spiritual boldness to share what we believe.  2 Timothy 3:16 says that God's word teaches us how we should live, it tells us when we fail and shows us how to make it right, and trains us how to do it better the next time.  If we don't take his word seriously and make changes as he shows us, we are very foolish indeed.  What have you sensed God speaking to you about?  What are you doing about it?
