THE REAL DEAL!!!  Matthew 7:21-23  

What Does it Say?  Only those who do what they know God wants them to do will be permitted into the Kingdom of Heaven.

What Does it Mean?  I grew up in a Christian home and I knew what the Bible said and yet I did not obey until after my first son was born.  My reason was that I didn't really believe God was good and knew what was best for me.  I thought He wanted to spoil my fun.  After my first son was born, I got to know Jesus in a personal way.  I learned first hand that He loved me and had my best interests at heart.  That is when I started to obey God and enjoy the benefits of being a part of His kingdom.  We have no right to judge who is a true disciple and who is not; only God knows the heart.  We can call Him Lord, but what we do tells what we really believe.  If Jesus is really our Lord, we accept His will and trust Him to take care of us.   In what areas do you trust God to be your Lord?  What areas do you struggle with trusting Him?  God knows your heart, but He wants you to talk to Him about your thoughts and feelings.
