JESUS YOKE IS EASY - Matthew 11:25-30

What Does it Say?  vs 28, 29 Jesus calls to those who are tired of their heavy burden with a promise of rest.  Jesus says that His yoke is easy and His burden is light.

What Does it Mean?  Jesus offers rest to those who are tired of rules and religious obligation to please God.  This would have been totally different from the message of the self-righteous Pharisees.  Jesus message to them and to us is to take His yoke upon us.  There is still a yoke; that means discipleship will still take effort, but we are working together with Jesus.  The Pharisees were giving orders; Jesus is pulling beside us teaching us how to respond to life.  He made us and he knows what makes us tick; serving Him is doable when we know He loves us and is worthy of our trust.  When we are going through tough times, He strengthens and comforts us and helps us get through it.  When the times are good, he celebrates with us and wants to train us.  Where are you at in your spiritual journey?  What burden would you like Jesus to help you with?  Talk to Him today.
